Fantabulous!

Yesterday was a fantabulous day! I got to do a solo verse of my favorite Christmas song (Mary Did you Know) in church. I was even complimented by my husband and another church member. So I felt 10 feet tall!

The children and I spent the afternoon making Christmas gifts for their teachers and my wonderful friend and co-leader at scouts. (Jayden even started singing Christmas carols with us, he hates to sing-so he says!) Everything turned out so cute and of course I forgot to take pictures before we sent them off to school today.

Yesterday evening Jayden got to help me make ginger snaps! mmmmm. Our favorite Christmas cookies. Of course about half the batch was eaten by the 5 of us within the first 10 minutes. Freshly baked cookies are the best!!!

We had a yummy dinner of Cranberry chicken and watched a good movie together. Then everyone got into bed without a fuss!!

Everything is almost done for Christmas. All the store bought presents are wrapped and stashed away. I just need to make the finishing touches on my home made ones for the kids.

Joyful Noise

Matthew and I finally joined our church choir. We are greatly enjoying it. We had our children's Christmas service last Sunday the 12th. Here are the photos we took of the choir. This is only a few people, as most were out of town. And a few photos of the church

Hopkins Gala

Every year Johns Hopkins put together a wonderful gala for the whole Radiology department at both the main hospital and Bayview. This year and last year it was held at the Walter's Art museum.

Aberdeen Christmas Street parade

Everyone was on a different float this year. I had the wonderful job as family photographer. So here are the pictures form this very cold, yet fun day!

Halloween

Soccer

The boys loved playing soccer. Jayden definitely wants to play again. Brittin said he'd rather play baseball. We'll see about that. I don't think he realizes how much standing around there is in the game.

TGIF

Well life has finally calmed down a little. It was pretty crazy there for a while. The boys were playing soccer which took up tues, thur, and Sat! Then we still had (still have) cub scouts tuesdays, and girl scouts wednesdays. On top of that my school is Monday and wednesday nights. Matthew has been a wonderful husband and has helped out tremendously. It has really been a chellenge juggling all this, but we have managed.

I have 1 more semester of anatomy and physiology, then all I have to take to get into Physical therapy assistant school is statistics and developmental psychology. I've added on a year of schooling so I could take a and p by itself. I need that A and this was the only way to get it!

The kids are doing great in school! They are all A students! They have made a couple new friends in the neighborhood, so every afternoon my yard is filled with children! It is wonderful!

Miss Aleyna has started to catch the horse bug. Unfortunately we had to re-home my horse. He just could not carry much weight anymore. So we will see just how serious Aleyna is about horses and maybe in a years time we will find another horse that the both of us can ride.

Aleyna has decided to learn violin this year. She likes it so far. Brittin continues to play trumpet. Jayden says he would like to play trumpet as well, but he still has to wait 2 more years. Brittin is excited about that. He wants to start teaching Jayden how to play!

I have found a new hobby that I absolutely love. I think I like it almost as much as horses! Digital scrapbooking! It is so great! You can re-size your pictures as many times as you want or delete a page and start over and not waste a thing! The best part is there are so many free items you can find on the internet!

This year I have also taken up dressage. I have found the most wonderful instructor. She is the most amazing and kindest person! She is a Christian through and through. She has 6 children who she home schools! She is by far the best rider I have ever met as well. She is the top rider in the state! I couln't have found a better instructor. I am taking the winter off to focus on my classes, but once spring comes I will be back in the saddle again! My goal is to be in my very first show by the end of summer!

Matthew is doing great. He couldn't have asked for a better job. He is quite comfortable there. Most everyone understands and appreciates his humorous nature. I get so many good comments about him when we attend work functions! He has met someone who goes hunting and plans to finally go this year! He is so excited about that. As am I. It will do him so much good to get back out there. You can't go through life doing nothing but working. He works so hard to provide for us. He deserves some fun time!

We have met some great people here. Especially through Matt's work. We've been invited to friday night poker nights! It will be nice to have a date night once again! We have finally found more than 1 sitter! So we can actually go out when we want to! Maryland really isn't that bad of a place after all! It also happens to be huge horse country. Now if only the price of land would come down!
